Foundation

Founded in 1996, the Students' Quality Circle (SQC) at Ananda College is a distinguished initiative aimed at instilling good qualities among Anandians. With a focus on engaging students in a structured process of continuous improvement, the SQC is dedicated to enhancing the quality of education and the overall school environment. By involving students in identifying issues and proposing solutions, the SQC fosters a collaborative approach to problem-solving and encourages active participation in the school’s development. The circle provides a platform for students to develop leadership skills, work as a team, and contribute meaningfully to their school community. Through its various activities and projects, the SQC instills a sense of responsibility and ownership among students, aligning with the college's mission of nurturing well-rounded individuals.

International Participation: Selected to participate in more than 10 International Students Quality Circle Conventions in countries such as the UK, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Mauritius.
National Champions: Winners of multiple Quality Circle conventions in Sri Lanka from 2012 to 2024.
2016 International Students Convention – Mauritius: Runner Up in the World Public Speaking Championship.
2018 International Students Convention – Bangladesh: Winners of the Quiz Competition.
2019 International Students Convention – India: Winners of the Most Disciplined Team award.
