The Buddhist Society of Ananda College organized a successful blood donation camp to celebrate the Vesak festival, with over 200 donors participating. The event, held in collaboration with the Blood Bank, Colombo, highlighted the spirit of compassion and community service central to Vesak.
The participation of students, staff, Old Anandians and community members underscored the collective commitment to saving lives and supporting the healthcare system.
The Buddhist Society extends heartfelt gratitude to all donors and volunteers who contributed to the event's success. Their generosity not only helped replenish blood banks but also embodied the true essence of Vesak by spreading kindness and goodwill. This initiative reflects dedication of Anandians to fostering social responsibility and humanitarian values among its students.
The event was organized under the patronage of the Venerable Maha Sangha of the Academic Staff and the under the guidance and supervision of the principal Mr. D.M.L.P. Dissanayake.
