Ananda College Dominates Western Province Colors Nite 2024

Ananda College proudly celebrates a historic moment as Meron Wijesinghe was honoured with the prestigious title of Most Outstanding Sportsman 2024 at the Western Province Colors Nite, held on July 20, 2025. The event, a key highlight in the provincial sports calendar, recognizes the finest student-athletes across a range of disciplines.

What makes this year's recognition truly remarkable is the unprecedented dominance of Ananda College in this elite category. All three nominees shortlisted for the Most Outstanding Sportsman award were Ananda College athletes Meron Wijesinghe, R. I. Widushan, and Lesandu Arthawidhu a testament to the school's exceptional sporting excellence and commitment to holistic education.

Meron's selection as the top sportsman reflects not only his individual dedication and discipline but also the supportive environment provided by the college, its coaching teams, and the broader Ananda sports fraternity.
